These terms apply to your use of MapLocal, operated by MapLocal. By using the website or our services, you agree to them.
Our services
MapLocal provides local search visibility scans, reports and marketing services for businesses, including Google Business Profile optimization, review collection tools, AI-assisted review replies and posts, and ranking tracking. Free scans are provided as-is for information only.
No ranking guarantees
Search rankings and AI recommendations are decided by Google and other third parties and change often. Results depend on location, competition and many factors outside our control. We do not guarantee any specific ranking, number of reviews, calls or revenue.
Your responsibilities
- Only connect or ask us to manage business profiles you own or are authorized to manage.
- Give accurate information about your business.
- Review AI-written content before approving it. If you turn on automatic publishing, you accept responsibility for content published on your behalf.
- Follow Google's policies. In particular, don't offer incentives for reviews, post fake reviews, or ask only happy customers for reviews.
Fair use
Don't misuse the service, for example by running automated scans, trying to access other users' data, or interfering with the site. We may limit or suspend access to protect the service.
Paid services
Paid plans are billed in advance as described when you sign up and can be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees already paid are not refunded unless required by law or stated otherwise in your agreement.
Third-party services
We rely on services such as Google, our data and AI providers. Their terms and availability are outside our control, and features may change if they change.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, MapLocal is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and, for material changes, notify clients by email.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
